In the post Consume To Create (or Consume less, Create more) I mentioned that I won’t read books in 2022, but to be honest there were times when I just wanted to read something. Since I went with the mindset into 2022 to not reading books I definitely read less compared to the last years. So going into something with a specific mindset won’t guarantee achieving a goal (definitely in my case), but it helps a lot coming closer to what someone wants to achieve.
Even though reading isn’t a bad habit, you need to spend time for it. So this time I could have used to write more code, come up with more ideas, just more of other stuff… The moment you decide for something, you decide against all the other options…
Just for the sake of history I updated the Bookshelf with the books I’ve read in 2022. Just for looking back at it one day.
Also I’ve watched some movies alone, but definitely also less than the years before. I will try again to don’t watch alone and only make an exception here if watching with someone. The movies I watched alone:
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
For 2023 I will go back to my normal reading habit which will be to read at least 2 pomodoros, so one 50 minutes session each day (evening probably).
