I think this is a topic I wanted to write about since the beginning of daily blogging because I started meal prepping around a year ago. In short:
Meal prepping is the concept of preparing whole meals or dishes ahead of schedule. - How to Meal Prep — A Beginner’s Guide
Reasons were to save time and to have less stress to think about what to eat for lunch. I did it not every week, but if I did it, like the last weekend, I usually prepare on Sundays and cook the food in around 3 hours. During the week I just have to put the food in the microwave and that’s it, voilà lunchtime. I remember the first time when I started to make food, I planned ahead which kind of food it should be and thought a lot about the process, but after sometime it became a routine, I knew already what ingredients to buy and which kind of food combinations I can use for storing it for longer days in the fridge or which are good for freezing. This will be probably not necessary anymore for the next time, because I’m thinking about trying out the “One Meal A Day” Diet. More on that on another post.
